Observing site at Blackrock Pass, Nevada at 38.5128N 115.8275W

Black Rock Pass on U.S. Highway 6 was a wonderfully remote observing point for this eclipse. It is desolate and unpopulated for miles. Only 6 people including myself showed up for the eclipse at this location - one person from Denver, a local Andy G., myself from Salt Lake, and three people from the local astronomy club in Upland, California. This made for an enjoyable and intimate eclipse experience, and getting to and from the site made for an adventurous road trip. I thought I new what "empty" was until I went to backcountry Nevada.
