M-31_V-1

M-31_V-1 is the first Cepheid variable star found in M-31 (the Andromeda Galaxy). It was discovered by Edwin Hubble in 1923.

Paramount ME, C-14 @ f/5.5, ST-10XME, -10° & binned 3x3. 5 stacked 2' exposures shot through clear filter and added together. Left: 2010 NOV 25. Right: 2010 DEC 08 UT. FOV ~18' x 26' of each shot. North is up, east to left.
