Supernova 2015Q

My 2nd supernova discovery, 2015Q. it is located in galaxy NGC 3448. It was confirmed here:
http://www.astronomerstelegram.org/?read=7680

My first image of it was taken 2015 JUN 17 at 07:10:33.6 UT

This is a 60 second exposure taken with a Paramount ME, C-14 telescope operating at f/5.5 & ST-10XME camera binned 1x1. FOV is about 18 x 26 arc minutes. Software used: TheSky6, CCDSoft & Orchestrate.

NGC 3448 is about 50 million light years away in the direction of the constellation Ursa Major. Put another way, light from the explosion just reaching Earth started its journey some 50 million years ago long before humans walked the Earth.
