Bruce Grim built this model to show how the Refractor House would look when finished.  The old SPOC dome was used in keeping with the wishes of the surrounding community.  However, it does not rotate and the shutter was welded shut.  As the model shows, to expose the telescope to the sky the dome rolls off to the north.  When closed the inside of the dome can double as a projection screen for a simple planetarium star projector so the public can be shown during daylight what they'll be seeing that night.  30 NOV 2003
